The automobile world is very big every day a new innovation take place and every day a new car concept take place in automobile world. There are many types of cars in the world which have their own different specification, design, features and looks. So for your understanding ………

1. HATCHBACK

The meaning of HATCHBACK car is very simple don’t use your PhD mind. A HATCHBACK  is a car with a REAR door(or in simple language DIGGI) that opens upward or we can simply say that the REAR space of a car used for both PASSENGER and CARGO(Bags etc) is called a HATCHBACK CAR. Don’t confuse because nowadays most of the car are hatchback cars as SUVs and Luxury cars are also Hatchback car because in SUVs the last seats of the car are FOLDABLE due to this you can use for Passenger and for cargo(bags). In India, HATCHBACK car is the highest selling body style in. We all know about all-time famous Hatchback car in India is MARUTI 800 sold over 2.5 million units since its launch in 1983. Today latest example of Hatchback car in India is FORTUNER and XUV 5OO many more. In India, Four-door hatchback cars are more famous as compared to TWO door cars.



2.SEDAN

If you saw a Maruti Suzuki CIAZ then you can easily understand that what is SEDAN. SEDAN are those cars which have THREE compartments ( Engine, Passenger and Cargo ) so it is called SEDAN cars. A sedan is basically Long cars which have separate compartments. There are Club sedan, Notchback sedan, Fastback sedan, Hardtop sedan, Hatchback sedan, Chauffeured sedan,close-coupled sedan.
Example of sedans: Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Honda city.


3.MPV(Multipurpose vehicle)

A multi-purpose vehicle(MPV) or multi-utility vehicle(MUV) are commonly known as ‘People Carriers’. These cars are designed to offer enhanced space and comfort for passengers with two or three rows of seating and large doors. These cars come in five and seven-seat forms. The MPVs body style has declined in popularity in recent years though, due to the growth in more fashionable SUVs offering similar levels of flexibility and practically in A more desirable package.

EXAMPLES: Mahindra Scorpio, Fortuner and Xuv 5oo.

4.SUV(Sports utility vehicle)

A sports utility vehicle(SUV) is a big car built on a body –on-frame chassis, sports increased grouped clearance and offers off-roading capabilities to a certain extent. SUVs are basically used for off-roading these cars are especially for those people who want adventures life and want to drive cars at difficult or high terrains. These cars have more power as compared to a regular car. SUVs basically come in 4wd but they have also option according to the choice of the customer. In India, most famous SUVs are Mahindra THAR, Tata SAFARI, Mahindra SCORPIO many more. SUVs make the life of people full of adventures as most of the people drive their SUVs on hilly ways but there are many smart people who want to drive there cars on soft roads.

Examples off-roader SUVs: Mahindra Thar, Mahindra Scorpio, Land Rover Discovery sport, etc.
Examples of soft-roader SUVs: Honda CR-V, Renault Duster, Skoda Yeti, etc.


5. CROSSOVER  

A Crossover or Crossover Utility vehicle(CUV) is a type of vehicle that combines the features of an SUV and a Hatchback. Crossover vehicles offer soft-roading capabilities and are constructed like a car-they use unibody( means floor plan and chassis form a single structure) it is a single body not made by joining different parts. Crossover is typically designed for only light off-road capability.

MINI CROSSOVER EXAMPLE:Chevrolt,Mitsubishi outlander sport, Fiat Palio.

COMPACT CROSSOVER EXAMPLE: BMW X1, jeep compass, Mahindra xuv500.

MIs-Sized Crossover Example: Ford Edge, Volkswagen Touareg.

Full-Sized Crossover Example: Ford Flex, Lincoln MKT.



6. COUPE

A COUPE is classically defined as a closed two-door car with a fixed roof. It is considered ed sporty by nature, it generally gets just 2 seats or with a smaller than average rear. In market, there are four-door cars which have been marketed as Four door Coupes or QUAD COUPES due to their coupe-like roofline at the rear.

VARIATIONS.
Berlinetta= A Berlinetta is a lightweight sporty two-door car, with two seats but also including 2+2 cars.

Business coupe =A two-door car with no rear seat or a removable seat intended for travelling salespeople.
Club coupe= A two-door car with a large rear seat passenger area.
Four-Door coupe =A four-door car with a coupe-like roofline at the rear.
Opera coupe= A two-door car designed for being driven to the opera with easy access to the rear seats.
Quad coupe= A Quad coupe is a car with one or two small rear doors and no B pillar.
EXAMPLES of COUPES: Ford mustang , Audi R8, Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe, etc.



7.CONVERTIBLE

In simple words, a car which can be driven with or without a roof in place is called CONVERTIBLE.
They feature either a rectangle hardtop roof or soft folding top.

EXAMPLES of Convertibles: Mercedes-AMG SLC 43, Audi A3 Cabriolet.
